Marketing Account Executive

fatBuzz is a Glasgow based marketing and digital media agency founded in 1986. We’re huge believers in brand purpose. We work with clients across the UK in the Public and Private sectors and from various industries, including independent local businesses and national brands. We pride ourselves on building lasting relationships with our clients, having worked with many for several years.

We are looking for an Account Executive to join our team. The successful applicant will be experienced in marketing with the ability to assist in the development of in-depth marketing strategies for our growing list of clients. A minimum of 1-2 years in a marketing role is essential, and agency experience is preferable.

The full-time position is based in the fatBuzz Glasgow office (Kinning Park). We operate a 34-hour working week – Monday to Thursday 9am until 5pm (45-minute lunch break), and Friday 9am until 2pm.

It is not essential, but a driving license would be a distinct advantage.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assisting our Account Managers in managing a portfolio of clients
  • Assisting in the creation of high-quality content
  • Helping to develop innovative marketing strategies and content plans
  • Implementing creative digital marketing campaigns
  • Curating and sharing relevant and exciting content with clients’ communities
  • Assisting with online advertising plans, campaigns and budgets
  • Monitoring analytics to measure and report on the success of online campaigns
  • Implementing email marketing strategies
  • Preparing monthly performance and activity reports for clients
  • Maintaining regular contact with clients
  • Taking a proactive approach in identifying new marketing opportunities

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience
  • Articulate and confident communicator (both written and verbally)
  • Exceptional written communications skills
  • Experience in using social media platforms and scheduling tools
  • Knowledge of email marketing
  • Knowledge of content management systems
  • An understanding of Social Media Advertising
  • A sense of Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Google Data Studio
  • Basic understanding of SEO and PPC fundamentals
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects and work to deadlines
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with clients
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • An ambitious and enthusiastic personality
