Email Marketing and how to build your data base post GDPR
Regardless of recent changes to data regulations, Email Marketing is still one of the best forms of marketing. In fact, the regulatory changes should make your Email Marketing more effective in the future. The subscribers who have opted to stay with you are genuinely interested in hearing from you. Indeed, they expect to hear from you in the future, so you need to have a robust Email Marketing strategy and content plan.
At the June New Media Breakfast we will be looking at how to make the most of your Email Marketing and how to utilise automation tools to ensure you keep your clients/customers up to date.
One of the main challenges with Email Marketing in the future will be building a relevant and opted-in data base. It will no longer be possible to simply add email addresses to your data base. So, if you’ve been collecting business cards at conferences, exhibitions and event, you shouldn’t expect to be able to add these to your marketing mailing lists. Likewise, if you are in the habit of uploading a list of new contacts to your data base you now need to reconsider.
There are many ways that you can build your mailing list in a compliant manner, we will focus on some of the ways you can do this at the June New Media Breakfast.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
If you are a business owner, or you are involved in marketing, sales or PR you should come along to this breakfast. Whilst the main topic is Email Marketing, we will be focussing on how to build your data base post GDPR.
