A little bit about Martin

Since graduating over 15 years ago I’ve spent most of my career as a web developer in the higher education sector. I’ve also recently spent time in the fashion industry working on an E-commerce website.

As one of the web developers at fatBuzz, I help bring our clients and our designer’s ideas to life. We also keep our existing client’s websites updated.

A little bit about Gordon

As MD, I do everything from making the tea to walking the dog.  In between these important tasks I focus on business planning, personal development, team building and generally raising awareness.  I also run and present at the monthly fatBuzz New Media Breakfast sessions in Glasgow and Edinburgh, something I’ve been doing for almost 11 years now.

A little bit about Caitlin

My role as Head of Marketing includes but is not limited to the day to day management of our team, client relationship management, and business development. My ongoing Account Manager role involves content creation, email marketing, online advertising, day to day community management, and the creation of strategic marketing plans, amongst other responsibilities.

I’ve worked at fatBuzz for 6 years now, but I’ve known some of the team for over two decades!

A little bit about Marion

Initially, I trained in hotel management and travelled throughout the world with my job at Glasgow Tourist Board. I then gave this up when I had my 3 children, then moved to work with Gordon.

At fatBuzz, I’m known for dealing with the finances for staff and suppliers. I’m also the person who people come to before they approach Gordon with an idea. For some reason, they think I’ll know how he’ll react!

A little bit about Brian

As the bookkeeper, I collate all the financial information and prepare management accounts for the directors and accountants. My most important role, for the staff anyway, is the preparation of the payroll. I don’t pay the money, I just print the slips!

After graduating in 2021 with a degree in International Marketing, I threw myself straight into a marketing internship to get my career started. Like they say you only really start learning once you’ve passed the test!

I have worked in customer service for the last 3 years but now I have graduated with a marketing degree I am ready to pursue my career with fatBuzz. Outside of work, my hobby and passion is horse riding. I have owned my horse Romeo for 8 years. He is my best friend and owning a horse is basically my entire personality.

A little bit about Murron Dennis

In 2023, I graduated university with a Marketing degree and was eager to get started to learn even more. I was lucky enough to secure an internship within a luxury hotel in Edinburgh, where I was a crucial role in a small team in assisting with so many fun and interesting tasks. This gave me incredible experiences which were not only great fun but unique to hospitality and luxury tourism. After my internship was completed, I came to fatBuzz to be a Marketing Account Executive. This has given me the chance to learn about so many different industries and meet some amazing people. It has been so much fun getting to learn about the differences of being in an agency compared to in-house, and I can’t wait to continue my journey here!

When I am not working you can usually find me reading a cheesy book, searching in the charity shops, or exploring new places around Scotland with my dog, Rua.

A little bit about Hannah Newlands

I graduated from the University of Strathclyde in 2022 with a degree in International Business with Hospitality and Tourism. Throughout my degree I was able to incorporate and learn about a few different aspects of marketing, however I am excited to start my career at fatbuzz and learn along the way.

Outside of work I love to dance, from starting at 3 years old to competing in university competitions it is a passion that has never gone away. I also love to ice skate and ski!

A little bit about Maria Sabatini

I proudly achieved a BA in Information technology Management for Business.

I started my career as a website developer creating websites that are optimized for search engines then specialised in SEO and PPC. I also tutored computing science to students and children; I love sharing knowledge and teaching all things to do with the digital world. I am always keeping up with industry trends, and my inbox is always filled with various SEO newsletters that I read with my coffee before work.

Outside of work, I love travelling. I’ve travelled as far as Brazil but have a soft spot for Portugal – the food and weather there is unbeatable. I love the outdoors and always seek a new adventure!

I have a pet tortoise that I absolutely adore. I unknowingly named him after his breed, so my Hermann breed tortoise named Herman lives a very simplistic life.

Best tip you have learned in the Development Industry?

Keeping up with new emerging technologies and trends is essential. There is always something new to learn and different social media platforms, newsletters and events to attend to build upon your skillset.

A little bit about Avinash Palattiyil

In 2023 Graduated from University of West of Scotland with a master’s in digital marketing.

Even before master’s I have started my career as a Digital Marketing Executive now working as PPC Specialist. I enjoy working in this profession, so I have chosen to be in marketing even though I have done bachelor’s in engineering.

When I am not in office I love watching movies, travelling and enjoy foods. Among my favourite things to do is travel with friends.

Graduating in 2015 studying Product Design & Innovation, I found myself thrust into the world of Graphic Design shortly after and haven’t looked back since! Having undertaken several roles since university it’s great to be working at Fatbuzz as there is plenty of potential to flex some design muscles and get involved in some interesting projects.

A little bit about Athanasia

Even though a Graphic Designer at heart, I went rogue getting a Masters in Marketing and Advertising, which allowed me to explore my creative restlessness. I have since worked both in graphic design and as a marketing officer, using a wide range of design and marketing tactics to create effective content and engage the audience. As an individual I am always keen to learn and develop my skills further and that’s why I’m excited to be part of the fatBuzz team.

I originally come from Greece but have been living in Scotland the past four years and I absolutely love it here. I always try to keep myself busy, so I often do volunteer work for NPOs, recently started dog-walking neighbourhood doggos, and as a DIY enthusiast I’ve tried my hand at sewing, soap making and pottery!
